Moraira situated on the Costa Blanca.
A picturesque town on the coast lying between the cities of Alicante and Valencia whose airports serve all of Europe with flights on a daily basis and with easy access to Moraira via the motorways.
Moraira originally a fishing town has now become an exclusive holiday and residential resort with a large European resident community, but it still keeps its fishing tradition and has a popular fish auction every morning. It remains as one of the most unspoilt resorts on the Costa Blanca and has been awarded as one of the cleanest towns in Spain over the last numbers of years.
Surrounded by green mountains covered with pine trees and Muscatel vineyards.
It has an eight Km. cost line where you can find sandy beaches and coves like “El Portet” small blue flag sheltered beach with one of the best restaurants in the area; there is “L’Ampolla” the main beach with golden sands is next to the town and it too has been awarded with blue flag; also “Les Platgetes” witch has two small sand and pebbles beaches with a promenade and parking; and “L’Andrago” rocky cove with a bar and shops centre above. The natural terrain and spectacular scenery makes it ideal for trekking and scuba-diving.
For the last twenty five years there has been a beautiful Marina where you will find vessels ranging from the traditional local fishing boats to the most luxurious of yachts. Moraira marina is considered to be the most charming in the area, with an excellent restaurant of a high standard in its club house as well as many other bars and amenities.
There has recently been open a new modern building for cultural events, with a public library, exhibition rooms, hall for music and other events; and a municipal office.
